Accra Hearts of Oak took home an amount of GHS361,448 from the record gate proceeds accrued from Sunday’s match with Asante Kotoko.
This represents about 50% of the total gate proceeds
GHS 726,380 was realised as gate proceeds from the match between the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana.
Asante Kotoko also took home GHS233,932 of the proceeds, representing about 32%.
The Ghana Football Association also took home GHS51,000.00, while the National Sports Authority pocketed GHS80,000.00 as their share of the money.
The second-biggest gate proceeds recorded in the history of Ghana football was the GHS 639, 000 obtained from the match between Asante Kotoko and Cotonsport of Cameroon in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2019.
