A subsidiary of the Jospong Group of Companies (JGC), Zoomlion Ghana Limited, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Government of Zanzibar to transform waste management and promote environmental sustainability.
In a landmark meeting with Zanzibar’s President, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, the Executive Chairman of JGC, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyepong, highlighted Zoomlion’s commitment to providing innovative and practical sanitation solutions across Africa.
“We had a very fruitful meeting with His Excellency President Mwinyi, where we discussed transformative approaches to waste management that are both practical and forward-looking,” said Dr. Agyepong.

“At Zoomlion, we believe that waste is not just a challenge—it is an opportunity for innovation, employment, and sustainable development,” Dr. Agyepong added.
President Mwinyi expressed keen interest in Zoomlion’s successes in Ghana and other African nations, acknowledging the company’s potential to help Zanzibar meet its environmental and tourism development goals.
