The University of Ghana has taken decisive disciplinary action against students found guilty of violating academic and conduct regulations. In a statement released on June 17, the university confirmed the suspension of 14 students for disorderly conduct over a two-year period. These students are banned from all academic and extracurricular activities during the suspension.
Additionally, 97 students were penalized after investigations confirmed their involvement in examination malpractices. The sanctions followed hearings by the university’s Disciplinary Committee. Two students also received formal reprimands for inappropriate behavior.
The university emphasized its zero-tolerance policy on misconduct, reinforcing efforts to protect academic integrity and create a conducive learning environment.
