Staff of Melody FM, led by the Station Manager, today participated in a clean-up exercise as part of the nationwide sanitation campaign initiated by President John Dramani Mahama.
The exercise formed part of the government’s two-day National General Cleaning initiative aimed at improving environmental sanitation, clearing choked drains, and helping prevent flooding in communities across the country.
The exercise saw members of staff sweeping the station’s compound, clearing weeds, collecting refuse, distilling gutters and cleaning the immediate surroundings to ensure a tidy and healthy working environment.
The exercise reflects Melody FM’s continued commitment to supporting national development initiatives while promoting public awareness on issues affecting the well-being of the community.
The government has encouraged all citizens, institutions, and organizations to actively participate in the national clean-up campaign to help reduce the risk of flooding and improve sanitation across the country.
