The Kwara State Police Command has taken into custody a middle-aged barber after his girlfriend died on top of him during sex.

The barber who was nabbed in the state capital of Ilorin was detained on Monday due to the death of a girl who was having sex with him.

The event occurred on Monday, at a guest home in the Temidire neighborhood in the Offa Garage neighborhood of the city.

It was initially reported that the middle-aged guy, who is believed to run a barbershop, went for a relaxing evening with his girlfriend.

An unconfirmed report from members of the community also alleged that the man was under the influence of drugs to impress his girlfriend before the experience turned sour.

“The girl was said to have got tired during the mating and later gave up the ghost.

“During the outing, the girl was said to have been tired and became unconscious. It was at this point that the lady became helpless and thereafter gave up the ghost.”

The woman passed out, and the male reportedly raised an alarm when she did, drawing attention from the guest home staff.

It was said that the woman was taken to a neighbouring hospital and later declared deceased.

Additionally, it was learned that the middle-aged man was taken into custody when the guest homeowner reported the event to the Police ‘A’ Division in Ilorin.

After confirming the event, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that a thorough inquiry had been launched by the police.

“The incident is true. The state police command has arrested the man involved while full investigations have commenced to know what happened between the man and the deceased”.

An unkoown woman has been killed, wrapped in a sack, half naked, and dumped in a container at America Town, a suburb in Kasoa in the Awutu East Municipality.

The body of the woman was discovered by residents in the community, who raised an alarm about an unpleasant scent coming from an abandoned container in the neighbourhood.

Upon follow-up, they found the lifeless body of a woman who couldn’t be intensified as a resident in the community in a decomposing state with her dressing bag on her inside the sack.

Shacdrack Boakye Yiadom told Rainbow Radio’s Oheneba Ademah that killers probably might have committed the murder at a different place and decided to dump the body in his community.

He added that the police came to the scene to carry the body and have begun investigations into the matter.

Police in the Ashanti region have commenced an investigation into the alleged rape and murder of an 18-year-old woman in Anwiankwanta.

According to residents, the 18-year-old apprentice was picked up by individuals in a vehicle who offered to drop her off at her home.

When she failed to return, concerned community members began searching for her, and tragically, her lifeless body was discovered in an uncompleted building just a few meters from her residence.

Eyewitnesses say she was partially unclothed, leading to suspicions that she may have been sexually assaulted before her death.

Law enforcement authorities were alerted, and a comprehensive inquiry has been launched to uncover the circumstances surrounding her untimely and mysterious death.

Frank Awuah, the assembly member for the Awiankwanta electoral area, in an interview with Citi News, said the police are still investigating, but urged anyone with information to come forward.

The woman’s death has sent shockwaves through the Anwiankwanta community, and residents are calling for justice.
