The Railway and Harbour Electoral Area has welcomed a significant development with the completion of a new community public washroom, a project successfully championed by the Assembly member for the area, Hon. Karen Ama Moses. This initiative aims to improve sanitation and public hygiene for residents, marking a vital step towards enhancing community health and convenience.
The launch event began with a heartfelt prayer, reflecting the community’s unity and shared commitment to progress. The occasion drew the attendance of notable dignitaries including Madam Maame Efua Acquah, the Administrator Assistant Director and representative of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), as well as Madam Dorcas Quansah, the head of Waste Management at the Takoradi Sub Metro, and Sub Metro Assistant Director, Mr. David.
Key community leaders, including respected council elders Mr. Angel (known affectionately as Uncle Amoo), Uncle Ekow, Massa John, and Man Otto, were present to show their support. Also in attendance were Assembly Member Number 3, Mugabe, local media personnel, and members of the unit committee, who have been actively involved throughout the project.
Hon. Karen Ama Akorfa Moses expressed deep gratitude to all stakeholders for their unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of the washroom facility for residents’ well-being. To bring added joy to local children during their vacation, the event also featured Cartoon Fridays, a fun and educational initiative designed to engage kids and provide entertainment in a safe, community-centered environment.
