Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu has extended heartfelt encouragement to over 600,000 students sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), which begins today, Wednesday, June 11, and ends on Tuesday, June 17.

Speaking in an interview, the Minister described the BECE as a significant milestone in the academic journey of young learners.

“Learners numbering 603,328 across the country will sit for the BECE from today. On behalf of the President and the people of Ghana, I wish them good luck and best wishes,” he said.

Mr. Iddrisu advised the candidates to stay calm, focused, and avoid any form of examination malpractice, urging them to trust in their preparation and capabilities.

“They should consider it a normal test of memory and knowledge. Their years of preparation will pay off if they believe in themselves and stay focused,” he added.

This year’s cohort is one of the largest in recent years, and the Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting students through quality education and fair assessment.
