Ghana’s Attorney General has revealed that GH¢8.2 million was transferred into the personal Ezwich account of former National Service Authority (NSA) Director-General, Osei-Assibey Antwi. The payment is linked to the ongoing “ghost names” scandal involving fictitious national service personnel.
Speaking at a press briefing, Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine confirmed that the account, registered in Antwi’s name, was discovered during a search of his residence. The case is currently under investigation by the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) taskforce.
The scandal has exposed longstanding corruption within the National Service Scheme and has led to renewed calls for institutional reform and digital audits to prevent future fraud.
