The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) is calling on event planners to submit proposals for December in GH 2025.
This exciting festival runs from December 1, 2025 to January 3, 2026. It celebrates Ghanaian culture, heritage, music, fashion, art, and nightlife.
Every year, the event attracts thousands of visitors from around the world. Many come from the Ghanaian diaspora and the historical African diaspora.
The CEO of the GTA, Maame Efua Houadjeto, says this year’s edition will be the biggest yet. She says December in GH is more than a festival — it’s a movement that promotes Ghana to the world.
The 2025 edition is part of the Black Star Experience, which aims to make Ghana a top destination for culture, entertainment, and heritage tourism.
GTA is looking for creative and high-quality event ideas. Proposals can come from event organizers, promoters, and cultural curators across the country.
All events must be planned for the December period. The deadline for submissions is June 16, 2025.
A selection committee will review the proposals. Chosen events will appear on the official December in GH 2025 calendar.
Annabelle McKenzie, Director of the International Affairs Secretariat, says she’s excited to work with organizers who bring fresh ideas.
The goal is to boost tourism, support local talent, and show the world why Ghana is the gateway to Africa.
