YOUR HARD WORK HAS NOT GONE UNNOTICED – PRO VC-ELECT TO SERVICE PERSONNEL
The Pro Vice-Chancellor-Elect of Takoradi Technical University (TTU), Ing. Prof. Ebenezer Boakye, has applauded the 2024/2025 cohort of National Service Personnel for their commitment and diligence throughout their service year.
Speaking at a send-off ceremony in their honour, Prof. Boakye, on behalf of University Management, expressed gratitude for their contributions and encouraged them as they move into the next phase of their careers.
“Today is not just a celebration; it is also a moment of reflection, appreciation, and transition. Over the past year, you have contributed significantly to the growth and smooth running of this University. Whether in administration, academics, or other units, your presence has made a difference, and your hard work has been duly recognized,” he said.
He highlighted that the personnel’s contributions were invaluable to TTU’s daily operations and development, stressing that their professionalism and enthusiasm had not gone unnoticed.
Addressing employment concerns, Prof. Boakye assured the outgoing personnel that exceptional performance and strong work ethics are recognized by Management and could be considered when employment opportunities become available.
“Although we may not be able to absorb everyone due to institutional limitations, those who have demonstrated outstanding competence, dedication, and professionalism may be considered for available positions, particularly in areas where there is staffing demand,” he added.
Prof. Boakye further urged them to remain focused, committed, and open to continuous growth wherever they may find themselves.
As part of the ceremony, the Director of the Career Development Office, Dr. Philomena Aboagye, delivered a presentation on career readiness in today’s competitive job market. She emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and encouraged personnel to pursue further studies, professional certifications, and short courses to stay relevant.
Dr. Aboagye also underscored the role of networking in career advancement, advising personnel to build meaningful professional relationships. She further stressed the value of personal branding, urging them to project integrity, discipline, and a positive professional image both online and offline.
Representing the Registrar, Deputy Registrar and former Human Resource Head, Nana Kenneth Boateng, commended the more than 180 personnel for their contributions to TTU’s progress and challenged them to position themselves strategically to embrace future opportunities.
As a token of appreciation, the National Service Personnel received testimonials of completion, acknowledging their dedication and service to the University.
