Kobby Okyere Darko Mensa, Member of Parliament for Takoradi, over the weekend awarded scholarships to 150 tertiary students as part of his commitment to supporting education and youth development in the constituency.
The scholarship presentation, which benefited students from various tertiary institutions, forms part of an ongoing educational support initiative spearheaded by the MP. According to him, this marks the third batch of scholarships he has awarded this year.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Kobby Okyere Darko Mensa encouraged young university graduates to become innovative and proactive in contributing to the development of the city.
He urged the youth to come up with new ideas and solutions that can help drive growth and create opportunities within Takoradi and beyond.
The MP emphasized the importance of education, creativity, and entrepreneurship in nation-building, noting that the future of the city largely depends on the contributions of its young people.
